Aim and Scope
The Journal of Science and Engineering Convergence (JSEC) is an international, peer-reviewed, biannual journal dedicated to publishing rigorous and original research at the intersection of science, engineering, computation, and emerging technologies.
The journal aims to advance knowledge by promoting research that meaningfully connects scientific understanding with engineering methods, computational approaches, and technological systems. JSEC particularly encourages interdisciplinary and convergence-oriented studies that demonstrate a clear scholarly or technical advance, appropriate validation, and potential scientific, engineering, or technological significance.
The journal welcomes original experimental, computational, theoretical, and engineering research, as well as critical reviews, short communications, reproducibility and methods studies, and evidence-based technical perspectives. Priority is given to contributions that integrate concepts, methods, or technologies from multiple scientific and engineering domains to produce new capabilities, insights, materials, methods, devices, processes, models, or systems.

The scope includes, but is not limited to:
1. Engineering science and multidisciplinary engineering research
2. Applied physics, chemistry, materials science, and related scientific disciplines
3. Computational science, modelling, simulation, and scientific computing
4. Artificial intelligence, machine learning, data-driven engineering, and intelligent systems
5. Electronics, electrical, mechanical, civil, chemical, environmental, and biomedical engineering
6. Advanced materials, nanotechnology, manufacturing, and processing technologies
7. Automation, robotics, control systems, sensors, and instrumentation
8. Energy technologies, renewable energy, power systems, and sustainable engineering
9. Internet of Things, cyber-physical systems, embedded systems, and smart technologies
10. Biotechnology, bioengineering, healthcare technologies, and interdisciplinary life-science engineering
11. Environmental technologies, sustainability, resource efficiency, and climate-related engineering
12. Emerging and disruptive technologies that demonstrate substantial integration between scientific discovery and engineering application

JSEC places particular emphasis on convergence. Manuscripts should clearly explain which scientific and/or engineering disciplines are being connected, what is technically or scientifically new, why an interdisciplinary or convergence-based approach is necessary or beneficial, and what validated outcome results from the work. Routine applications of established algorithms, simulations, experimental procedures, or optimization methods to a new dataset or case study without substantive scientific or engineering advancement may not be considered sufficient for publication.
